Meet your Wedding Celebrant

Hey, I’m Rach — a Ballina-based marriage celebrant, former event manager, and lover of love in all its forms. I create personalised wedding ceremonies that feel real, relaxed, and just right — never cookie-cutter or cringey.

I work with couples across the Northern Rivers (and beyond!) to turn the “official” part of your wedding into one of the best moments of your day. Together, we’ll create something that feels like the two of you — from the heartfelt bits to the laughter, and everything in between.

I bring over 20 years of experience planning events for big brands (think Sydney Swans and American Express), so I know how to keep things calm, clear, and beautifully run — while also making space for joy, spontaneity, and connection.

Here’s what I vow to bring as your celebrant:

  • A ceremony that feels like you two (and gives everyone goosebumps)

  • Guidance and support at every step — email, text, phone, coffee, you name it

  • A beautifully written ceremony with space to pause, breathe, and soak it all in

  • Vow-writing support (plus access to my video series and printed vow cards)

  • A state-of-the-art PA system and wireless mic (so everyone can hear every word)

  • Ceremony coordination so you can relax and enjoy the moment

  • Reassurance on the day — the “you’ve got this” voice you didn’t know you needed

And if you’d like, I can also MC your reception — no awkward jokes, just smooth transitions, heartfelt intros, and a dance floor that starts on time.

A Bit About Me (Beyond the Mic)

Here’s some random stuff about me so you can really get to know me:

  • I adore my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Fern and Billy (love you guys!)

  • I love nature and being outdoors, especially anything water-related

  • Organisation is one of my superpowers (hence my event management background with the Sydney Swans and American Express)

  • I love good food, good wine and can’t get by without a cup of Earl Grey Tea

  • I’ve travelled a lot. And when I say “a lot”, I mean Europe, Mexico, the Philippines, United States, United Kingdom, Cook Islands, Middle East (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey), Bali, Thailand and Papua New Guinea

  • I used to be the person who would drive the Sydney Swans players around the SCG in the back of a ute during half-time after they retired

  • I’ve scuba-dived with whale sharks and a school of 7 million sardines

  • I walked the Kokoda Track

  • Whilst working in a Michelin starred restaurant in the UK, on request I found myself singing to a table “My dad picks the fruit that goes to Cottee’s, to make the cordial, that I like best”

  • I’ve paraglided off a 2,000m-high mountain in Turkey

  • I had a near-death experience riding a donkey in Petra, Jordan

  • I legit love love and what I do – getting to know the couple, being a part of the fun of planning their wedding, speaking in front of an audience, people laughing in the right places, and all the warm fuzzy feelings that come with it
